Matthew has worked within the Residential care sector since 2009. He has a real passion for supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes and build positive futures. Matthew Started as a volunteer for Axis Youth Offenders is 2009 as a mentor. In 2010 he started his career as a Residential Care Practitioner and in February 2014 he became a Residential Children’s home Manger, managing a three bedded home. He has experience working with young people who display a wide range of complex needs where structure, support, consistency, rules, boundaries, positive role models and relationships are the key ingredients to help young people to strive to achieve their goals. Matthew feels the last piece of the jigsaw is helping young people to gain self confidence and knowledge to live independently in order to make the transition to independent living post 18.
